Andy Clary and Jamie Sheldrick of Spacesuit Media joined The Apex’s writers Aaron Durant and Ben Hinc at Barber Motorsports Park to capture an NTT IndyCar Series event that challenged drivers from start to finish.

With IndyCar’s visit taking place earlier in April than in previous years, the grass around the permanent road course was less green than during Andy’s first visit to the track in 2018, increasing the challenge of producing colorful images. Jamie, meanwhile, was able to draw parallels to the Brands Hatch Circuit back home.

Furthering the championship following its start in St. Petersburg and IndyCar’s inaugural race at Circuit of The Americas, the Barber race was won by Takuma Sato after he and Graham Rahal swept the front row for Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing in qualifying.

A return to street racing is next for IndyCar at the newly named Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach on the weekend of April 12–14.
