The packed nature of the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach weekend offered Spacesuit Media photographers Andy Clary and Jamie Sheldrick the opportunity to capture more than just the NTT IndyCar Series’ second street race of 2019.
With the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship on hand as well, the talented pair also ventured around the Long Beach street circuit while North America’s premier sports car racing championship was on track, capturing the two-day DPi and GT Le Mans weekend with their unparalleled artistic touch.
Powerhouse entrant Action Express Racing came out on top as the No. 5 Mustang Sampling Cadillac DPi-V.R was out front as the race clock turned from 100 minutes to zero. A frenetic GTLM battle ended with Oliver Gavin and Tommy Milner on top for Corvette Racing.
All four WeatherTech Championship classes will race next at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on the weekend of May 3–5.
Standing for independence and quality, The Apex publishes articles and produces a podcast for discerning IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and NTT IndyCar Series fans interested in going beyond the headline.
