The Apex Partners With Spacesuit Media

The Apex is pleased to announce that it has teamed up with Spacesuit Media, a photographic collective specializing in motor sport.

Through the partnership, The Apex’s written content about especially the Verizon IndyCar Series will be visually enhanced by Spacesuit Media’s unique photography.

The work of Spacesuit Media’s global team of award-winning photographers will be displayed as the main “featured” images of articles on The Apex, as well as within articles as relevant, inline additions to the text.

Photographs from Spacesuit Media will be featured throughout articles on The Apex.

Furthermore, particularly extraordinary photographs from Spacesuit Media will be highlighted in gallery posts after each IndyCar race weekend. The galleries will reside in the new Photography section of The Apex, accessible from the main menu of the website.

Spacesuit Media’s commitment to demonstrating the theme of “where human spirit and technology meet on the grandest of adventures” has led to curating a catalogue of some 53,000 vibrant images in just two years. In the remarkably short period, Spacesuit Media has shot IndyCar, Formula 1, Formula E, the FIA World Endurance Championship, 24 Hours Nurburgring, Pikes Peak, MotoGP, world land speed records and many other notable events. Presented at Spacesuit Collections, images are available to license for both editorial and commercial use.

With some of the world’s most prominent drivers, teams and manufacturers being among its clients, Spacesuit Media’s approach to telling stories from racetracks and other settings around the world is a unique and popular one. In several ways, The Apex operates identically to Spacesuit Media, creating a seamless partnership wherein common ideas and principles are shared.

As an independent, two-person team, The Apex handles each type of written content — news, race coverage, features and more — differently than other motor sports news websites, caring deeply for consistency and quality. Similarly, Spacesuit Media, with its “go-anywhere, do-anything attitude,” is very much a freethinking group, and its truly awe-inspiring photography is created under the same standard of quality that Aaron Durant and Ben Hinc uphold when writing at The Apex.

Despite their shared standards of excellence, The Apex and Spacesuit Media are among the fastest in their respective fields at bringing their work to life and making it available for motor sports fans. The Apex’s brief, informative reports from the racetrack, for example, will continue to be timely as they showcase photographs recently captured from trackside.

Galleries for each already-run race of the 2018 IndyCar season plus other events are available now in the aforementioned Photography area.

The Apex and Spacesuit Media will be onsite at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway throughout the month of May to tell the stories of the INDYCAR Grand Prix and the 102nd Running of the Indianapolis 500.
