Five years after first partnering with Chip Ganassi Racing, PNC Bank has been announced as the primary sponsor for Scott Dixon’s No. 9 Honda in 2018.
The PNC-liveried car will be raced at the hands of the four-time Verizon IndyCar Series champion in eight key markets for the bank in 2018, including at the 102nd Running of the Indianapolis 500.
“Our racing team has enjoyed a formal relationship with PNC since 2013 where we have created opportunities to introduce our love of the sport of racing to PNC and their clients,” team owner Chip Ganassi said. “Today’s announcement allows us to expand the fan experience at racetracks across the U.S. and take our two winning brands to a global viewing audience.”
Dixon’s quest for his fifth IndyCar title — and first with a brand other than Target — will begin with the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg on March 11, 2018.
